HTC is, in a way, announcing two flagship phone models this year. The HTC One M8 was announced earlier, and now they have announced the HTC One E8. So, what do these two models have in common, aside from confusingly similar names? Basically, the HTC One E8 is the same as the M8, only made of plastic. This cuts the price nearly in half. A few specs are also different, but nothing major:

But the question is, will this be enough to get their revenue up? So far, it doesn’t look like it:

They’ve got more than enough cool gadgets out there. What are they missing? According to Ubergizmo, just one thing:
“The company’s top brass has already acknowledged that HTC needs to do a better job at marketing.”
I have to admit that I agree. HTC gets way less publicity than Samsung and Apple, and that has to have an impact on the company. Hopefully they will be able to fix this problem before it’s too late!
